British actor Ed McVey blasted onto our screens when he made his debut in Netflix’s biggest show The Crown as Prince William, appearing alongside Imelda Staunton, Jonathan Pryce and Dominic West. Ed proved to be the standout star of the final series of the royal drama, with Radio Times declaring “McVey is up to the challenge, proving to be a captivating screen presence and impressive at capturing the essence of the young prince.” The final series focused on Princess Diana’s death as well as William and Kate’s relationship as the two meet at university in St Andrews. Ed was nominated for his role in the category of Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series at the 30th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards. His previous work includes Camp Siegfried (The Old Vic) after studying at Drama Centre London.
